Outros Territorios website

The design of the Other Territories website was done by the designer-programmer-artisan Aline Coutinho. Made in Python, a high-level language that prioritizes the code, the site seems to be (purposely) under construction and its lines leave the organizational structure apparent; the drawing being reworked with user interaction.

Here is Aline's coded, analog-digital CV:

studied architecture* but it was working with design# that she learned programming^>@.
she knits§∆@, crochets§@, embroiders§@, weaves&@, braids§@, makes mistakes, restores@, hacks∑@, cmd+C, cmd+V, cmd+R.

* at FAU-USP

^ learned HTML and CSS from Denis Zanin
> learned Python from Gustavo Ferreira

§ learned from her mother Sandra Coutinho

New deadline

Dear participants,
Due to the holidays (January is the vacation month in Brazil), some jurors will not be available on the week scheduled for the jury sections. Therefore, we had to postpone them for February. The deadline for submission of proposals was also postponed to February 5 - please refer to the new schedule on the homepage of this website.

Good luck to everyone!

Jury member: Marcos Franchini

One more (seventh and last!) jury member: Marcos Franchini, who will represent the new generation on the OT jury.

Marcos holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from PUC-MG (2010) and a master's degree in Metal Construction Sciences from UFOP (2017). He is currently a professor at Pitagoras College in the Architecture and Urbanism course and has taught at UFOP, PUC-MG, and Una graduate studies.

He worked with architect Sylvio de Podestá (2007-20111) and collaborated with the French offices Mu-Architecture and Archicop (2009), and Rizoma (2011-2012), with experience in works and projects at the INHOTIM Institute.

Since 2012 he runs his own office, having been awarded in several national and international competitions. Marcos is a talented draftsman. His work is plural since it relates to the partnerships he seeks to make in each project, be it with other architects, designers, photographers and artists.
